Community Service has never been so exciting. (Trust me – I would know. I logged over 1700 hours of community service last year). Over 150 Home Depot associates and other volunteers built a playground for Van Asselt Elementary in Seattle on Thursday. Home depot as well as MLS, MLS W.O.R.K.S., and KABOOM! created a playground that would make any kid happy to go to school.

Commissioner Don Garber and Seattle Sounders FC owner Joe Roth were there to announce Seattle as Soccer City, USA and cut the board.

Kasey Keller, Peter Veganas, Fredy Montero, and James Riley from the Sounders were all there to do some work.

Zach Thorton from Chivas as well as Dwayne DeRosario from Toronto FC were there as well to lend a helping hand.

Tip for Zach Thorton: Stick to your day job. You were Goalie of the year for a reason.

Not gonna lie, this isn’t a new video, but I had to at least acknowledge the fact that Chris Rolfe was doing magazine layouts way before the Seattle Sounders were even in MLS.  Plus I need to know if I am the only one that thinks this dude looks just like Rick Kane from North Shore.  Think about it.  Do you know for a fact Rolfe doesn’t have a best friend named Turtle?

Seriously, is there anything that other fans bases in MLS do better than Sounder’s fans these days?  Most of the time I don’t know whether to hate them (like Silky Johnson) or love them (like cute kittens).  After seeing this vid I have to love them.  For now…

That’s right, there was a Seattle Sounders photo shoot and it didn’t feature Freddie Ljungberg in Fruit Of The Looms.  Trying to get into the modeling game are Sebastian Le Toux, James Riley and Steve Zakuani.  The photo shoot was for the cover shot of local Seattle based lifestyle magazine DList.  You can see the issue online here.
