Thisweekintweets10Shirt.net will be posting a weekly digest of what we find to be the best tweets about our favorite game here in the US.  Of course there are limitations.  We can only track those people that we know about, so if you think you are spitting out footy genius on the regular and want to get noticed follow @10_Shirt and @Jrodius.  We will follow you back and see what you have to say.

Also, since we can’t see every tweet in all of twitterdom, feel free to use the #10s tag on your best stuff.  We will review everything that uses that hashtag, guaranteed.  And, as always, we recommend you follow everyone on this list in order to ensure that you will always be a part of the best US Soccer conversations happening everyday.

This Week In US Soccer Tweets: March 9th

Very intrigued by this trailer for a new featurette that MLS seems to have planned.  It seems to offer unprecedented access into what draft is like in MLS.  What I am most surprised by is that it seems that they were able to get the coaches/GM to agree to be mic’d up for the event.

I personally would love to hear what the front office staffs of Major League Soccer teams had to say as the team before them scooped up they player that they coveted.  I got $10 on it that there is footage of Sigi making a Domino’s order half way through the first round.

After you are finished making all your SuperDraft predictions, try betting online to make extra cash while cheering on your favorite team.

VIDEO: MLS Takes Us Inside The SuperDraft

Can the MLS make this man take mandatory Anger Management courses? The guy is one of the biggest hot heads in the league. Not only does he get into shoving matches with his mates, he’s malicious and down right mean. Not to mention he looks like Mr. Potato Head. Karma really came and took him for loop when he got injured and had to miss the rest of the season.

Plus, it is so easy to hate a man that played for both the Portland Timbers and the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Community Service has never been so exciting. (Trust me – I would know. I logged over 1700 hours of community service last year). Over 150 Home Depot associates and other volunteers built a playground for Van Asselt Elementary in Seattle on Thursday. Home depot as well as MLS, MLS W.O.R.K.S., and KABOOM! created a playground that would make any kid happy to go to school.

Commissioner Don Garber and Seattle Sounders FC owner Joe Roth were there to announce Seattle as Soccer City, USA and cut the board.

Kasey Keller, Peter Veganas, Fredy Montero, and James Riley from the Sounders were all there to do some work.

Zach Thorton from Chivas as well as Dwayne DeRosario from Toronto FC were there as well to lend a helping hand.

Tip for Zach Thorton: Stick to your day job. You were Goalie of the year for a reason.

    MLS Does Community Service

According to Jason Kreis and his troops their defense is what is going to give them a chance to beat Chicago on Saturday.  I wonder if Kreis would have said the same thing as a player with 100 goals to his name a few years back.  Either way my wife still always says “Who’s that?  He’s cute”  every time the RSL coach comes on the screen.  So yeah, he has that going for him.
