Gotta give it up to my man GVMX. I have highlighted his video comps here before, and he does it again with an epic effort here. Basically you can watch Cristiano Ronaldo, through four different terrible haircuts, slice up keepers from around the world. CR7 mixtapes are a dime a dozen, as are setting your comps to The Verve, but I really like what homeboy did with this one. Check it out:
If you can manage to get through the opening 10 seconds of this video, which looks like a How To video for all the terrible transitions that come with iMovie, I think you may like it. It’s a simple man on the street style piece, asking the people of Durban their thoughts on the fact that the world is about to descend upon them. More than anything, I think it makes the people of South Africa look friendly as hell. I hope the world returns the favor.
My favorite line? “We like fun people”

This World Cup inspired mural is the product of California artist and designer Mark Paul Deren (aka MADSTEEZ). Nike commissioned the artist to create something spectacular for the rooftop of the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Los Angeles. MADSTEEZ painted the enormous 80ft x 30 ft mural in 6 days and said it is his “one of his most proud pieces.”
Check out some shots of the process, the final product, and the genius himself.
Someone please tell De Jong that this latest Nike video pimping the Dutch team is quoted as saying, “Break Their Hearts” not “Break Their Legs.” I officially blame Nike for Stuart Holden’s injury now. It’s their fault for getting these dudes all hyped up like they were Flavor Flav at a Public Enemy concert.
