Last night at around 9:45 EST The American Outlaws sent out an email to their members stating that they had reached an agreement with WFD and Steven Cohen in which

“-First, The first 25 AO folks to sign up for WFD get their first month subscription for free.
-Second, host and mastermind Steven Cohen will be a guest on the AO podcast this weekend!
-Third, the WFD crew will be at the Los Angeles Chapter viewing party on Wednesday for the Netherlands game.

Today around 2:18 they tweeted:

“We are canceling anything involved with WFD & Cohen. It is not “Uniting” US Soccer fans and that is our only goal. We represent our Members”

This is due to some complaints about a relationship with Steven Cohen who has been the target of a lot of Liverpool fan’s anger after some controversial remarks he made about the Hillsborough incident in which Liverpool fans were killed.

The American Outlaws are an unofficial supporters’ group for the United States men’s national soccer team and have been described as “a raucous group of U.S. supporters” by ESPN. Founded in 2007 by a group of fans from Lincoln, Nebraska, the group set out to better organize supporters at United States men’s national soccer team games.

American Outlaw/WFD Deal Falls Through

Author: Fran Harrington | Filed under: News

ThisweekintweetsIt’s a new week and therefore time to get you caught up with the best tweets in US Soccer.  If you missed our debut of this piece last week here’s a brief recap.

10Shirt.net will be posting a weekly digest of what we find to be the best tweets about our favorite game here in the US.  Of course there are limitations.  We can only track those people that we know about, so if you think you are spitting out footy genius on the regular and want to get noticed follow @10_Shirt and @Jrodius.  We will follow you back and see what you have to say.

Also, since we can’t see every tweet in all of twitterdom, feel free to use the #10s tag on your best stuff.  We will review everything that uses that hashtag, guaranteed.  And, as always, we recommend you follow everyone on this list in order to ensure that you will always be a part of the best US Soccer conversations happening everyday.

Sources tell SBI MLS Labor talks did NOT go well this week. No tangible progress means things look likely to get ugly before they get better

  11. Steven Stoehr stoehrst

It occurs to me that there is no goddamn excuse for the #Revs not to have a shirt sponsor..losing huge $$$ on that #mls

    1. Jared DuBois Jrodius

@stoehrst Perhaps they can be sponsored by whatever carpet company does their field maintenance. #revs

Goal Sol Campbell. Wow great goal by Favre

Just a week before the terrible earthquake that decimated the island nation of Haiti, the New York Red Bulls released footage of their midfielder Seth Stammler’s charity trip there in December.  I’m sure Seth is very concerned by the events of the last few days.  As you can see from the footage he seems very attached to the people.
