So will Zidane’s retirement be a laughing stock, clinging desperately for relevancy like Eric Cantona’s commercials and Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame speech? Or will he be more like Bill Clinton making mad skrill on the regular just for showing up to the party? My vote is for Clinton, but you have to be careful because the line between devotion and desperation is a thin one.
Hoping to cash in on the fact he is fresh in the memories of the football loving public, Adidas has tapped Zidane as the face of their new Predator release in Japan. From the looks of it, the follically challenged Frenchy still has pull in the land of sushi and samurai.
