Below is the rumored United States Men’s National Team World Cup jersey for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. What do you think of the design? Like it? Hate it?

UPDATE: Here is another photoshop mockup from BigSoccer user “Dont Tread 011″, which shows a similar general design:

These kits are horrible. They look like bad beauty pageant outfits. They look dated but not hipster-vintage. The crest looks like it came out of the early 90s. Just horrible.
Um, those are awful. I agree that they look like a beauty pageant sash. That or a hall monitor sash.

I just threw up…
These shirts actually model the ones worn by the 1950 WC team that defeated England 1-0.
Those shirts were white with the red sash running from right to left.
While they may seem a little garish, Nike is trying to pay respects to one of the least known teams that caused a huge upset at the time (and still remains a major upset to this day)

I agree with Mr. Gravato,
To pay homage to the 1950’s team is a proper and respectable thing to do with the kit design….it also says “Were back”, which is proper considering how well the boys have been playing recently. I like the kits, and will purchase one for me and some of my soccer kids!!!
I’m down for throwback respect…
